Installation Requirements & Prerequisites
This installation requires that you have sufficient permissions to install an app from the marketplace. For more information consult this HubSpot article.
Step 1 - Start the installation
The app is currently in beta. Please contact us for early access.
You'll land on the Welcome to Leapware Business Essentials screen.
Click Continue.

Step 2 - Choose your package
Select Netherlands under Business Registry Data, the only option in this first release. Here you can see:
- 1,000 credits per month, included in the plan (unused credits expire at the end of each billing period)
- Your first month is free, and it includes your full 1,000 credits, not a reduced trial amount
- An optional Bulk Credit Pack add-on, €400 for 10,000 additional credits, valid for 12 months, worth adding upfront if you're planning a large one-off enrichment run (for example, backfilling an existing company database)
- Toggle Annual Plan to save 20% on the monthly rate
Click Continue.

Step 3 - Enter your contact details
Fill in:
- Contact person, first name, last name, email address, phone number
- Company information, company name, VAT/tax number (if applicable), and address
Please enter a VAT when you are based outside of the Netherlands.

Step 4 -Review summary and set preferences
This step recaps your contact details and lets you configure a few things before connecting:
- App language, the language used in the Business Essentials interface (English by default)
- VAT Verification, an optional enrichment that validates a company's VAT number against official sources. It uses an extra credit per lookup (1 credit for Business Registry Data alone, 2 credits if VAT Verification is included), since it requires an additional lookup. You can leave this off by default and enable it per company later, or turn it on by default here.
[Note: this feature is not yet available in the beta] . - Domestic country, shown as Netherlands, since that's the only registry source in this release

Step 5 - Confirm the custom properties
Check 'I agree to add custom properties to HubSpot Company objects'. Business Essentials organizes what it adds into four property groups:
- LBE – Business Registry – Identification
- LBE – Business Registry – Core Data
- LBE – Business Registry – Contact
- LBE – Business Registry – Provenance
These are additive, they don't touch your existing HubSpot fields, and you can manually sync them against your existing company records at any time after installation.

Step 6 -Connect to HubSpot
Choose the HubSpot account you're installing into, then review the permissions Business Essentials is requesting:
- Create, view, and manage workflows
- View, create, delete, and update company records and their properties
- View basic account details (primary domain, user emails) and team information
Note: the warning that HubSpot gives about an unverified app is due to the fact that the app is not yet listed in the marketplace. If you have any concerns about app installation. please contact us using the contact form.

Step 7 - Add the card to the Company detail view
Installing the app doesn't put the card on your company records automatically, this one-time step does. Without it, there's nowhere in HubSpot to actually see or use Business Essentials yet.
Step 7.1
Go to Settings → Data Management → Objects, select Companies from the object dropdown, then open the Record Customization tab. Open the view you want to edit (typically Default view).

Step 7.2
In the layout editor, click + above the middle column to open Add middle column cards, then switch to the Card library tab.

Step 7.3
Use the All card types filter and check Apps. This narrows the library to easily locate the single card Business Essentials provides: Business Registry Data.

Step 7.4
Click Add card next to Business Registry Data. It's confirmed with an Added state, and appears in your layout labeled with its source app, Leapware Business Essentials.

Step 7.5
Drag the card to where you want it in the middle column, most teams place it at the top, above Overview, since it's usually the first thing you'll act on for a new or unqualified company. Click Save.
The card now appears on every company record using that view, ready to search and enrich.

You are all set.
You are now able to use Leapware Business Essentials. For more guidance check our user guide or app detail page.
